The Right To Play Champions program seemed like a perfect fit with our physical education background and our love for sport. Similarly, we aim to use physical activity as a tool for health empowerment, personal and social development. - Marie-Pierre ML Tran & Marie-Paule Tran, project coordinators for the Right To Play Champions at McGill University

Right To Play Champions

Through the Right To Play Champions Program student athletes can use their knowledge about the power of sport to educate fellow students on the importance of bringing sport and play to children around the world who need it most while encouraging them to stay active themselves.
A Right To Play Champion is trained and educated by Right To Play staff on the role and goals of Right To Play in developing countries. They are asked to play a pivotal role in increasing awareness and promoting fundraising within local schools.

Make Your Goals Count
Make Your Goals Count empowers student athletes to have an impact on more than just the scoreboard.
By collecting pledges in support of their on-field or on-ice successes, students will allow children on the other side of the world to share in the celebrations while raising awareness of the power of sport as a force for positive social and individual change.

This year while your school celebrates their athletes and athletic accomplishments, why not use it as an opportunity to introduce Right To Play to them.
Some ideas would include: showing a Right To Play video, sharing Right To Play stories, Right To Play themed decorations, Red Ball Award, Balloon Raffle, Right To Play shirts and merchandise as prizes, 50/50 draws.
