McGill University

History:

Since 2005, McGill's Right To Play university chapter has raised both awareness and funds for Right To Play International. As they head into their 4th year as an officially recognized campus group you can be sure they'll continue their campaign!  McGill’s Right To Play members are renowned for their annual ‘‘on campus’’ events: spin-a-thon fundraisers, dodge ball tournaments, community events and celebrations.

In October 2009, the Champions group from McGill joined forces with the Club. The ‘‘Champions’’ specialize in bringing the Right To Play message to schools, camps and other conference venues. Since its inception in January 2007, The Champions have visited both elementary- and high schools in Montreal and have led interactive learning sessions in both the classroom and the gymnasium. More recently, they have been invited to the Youth Humanitarian Summit and the Papillon Leadership Camp 2009.

Want to inspire your students, varsity community, colleagues or school to make a difference using sport and play? Check out the Champions website and click on the bookings page for more information at www.playchampions.ca or click on the Champions banner.
